Some say a dog is man’s best friend. However, in Ben’s case, his mare Felicia was his best friend. She was the perfect horse, and they were inseparable, with a bond like no other. But soon, Ben’s world would come crashing down when the vet called the police on him. Ben had some big questions to answer. With a pregnant horse in his stable, the foal possibly in trouble, and police at his door, what was going to happen to them?
Calling the Cops
That day, when the vet called the police, Ben didn’t know what to do. His mind was racing with thoughts. What was wrong with his horse? Was he in trouble? Why did the police need to come to his stables? He would soon find out when the cops arrived in just a few minutes.
The police were, of course, concerned about Ben and his horse Felicia. They just wanted to get ahead of the situation before things worsened. The first step would be sedating Felicia. Then, they could turn their attention to Ben and get to the bottom of this.
Come With Us, Sir
The police turned to Ben and said, ‘Come with us, sir.’ When Ben heard those words, he turned to the officers and was so confused. He was just concerned for his horse and didn’t really understand why they were there.
Realistically, what could the police do to help? After all, what did they know about helping animals? Ben didn’t take long to realize they weren’t there for the horse or foal. The police were there for him. But why? What had he done?
The Interrogation Begins
The cops looked Ben in the eyes. It was all starting to feel very serious. They told him, ‘It’s very important for you to be honest with us, sir.’ Ben felt very confused. He just wanted to focus on helping his horse… And now all this was happening.
Very quickly, the interrogation was in full swing. The police were asking Ben a whole bunch of questions. They wanted to know everything from start to finish. The officers asked him about his past, current job, and relationship with his horse, Felicia.
The Perfect Horse
Until this incident, Felicia had been the perfect horse. From the moment Ben saw her, he was in love. He always loved going to visit her in the stables. Better yet, he rarely had any concerns for her health. This was reassuring as he knew he’d never have to fork out much money on vet bills.
Felicia seemed like the perfect horse who wouldn’t cause any problems. On paper, she was the best horse you could have. As time passed, he found that she was also amazing in real life.
Breeding
Because Felicia had such good health, Ben figured she would be perfect for birthing a foal. With no major health concerns, it seemed like everything would run smoothly, and it would be an easy pregnancy. And who wouldn’t want a baby Felicia running around?
So, Ben started the process of breeding Felicia. He started to think about what he needed to do to be ready for a new arrival. He knew Felicia would carry the foal for around a year, so he had time to prepare. But he never thought it would end like this.
Putting the Plan in Motion
Ben didn’t have a stallion of his own to breed with Felicia. He knew that finding the perfect one for his mare would be a little challenging. Felicia was special, and he thought finding a stallion like her would be impossible.
With her perfect health and incredible personality, he was getting a little stressed about finding a match. Either way, he knew he’d have to find one soon. There had to be a stallion of the same caliber out there.
Finding the Stallion
Ben started by reaching out to other horse owners in his community. He was hoping that they’d be able to help him find the perfect stallion for Felicia. Hopefully, he would find one with some really good genes, too.
Ben almost gave up completely on finding a stallion for Felicia. It felt like he’d never be able to find the right one. But he persevered. It took him a few months to find the right stallion. Soon, one came along that seemed to fit the bill perfectly.
